Carla, 41
As a dedicated social worker, Carla manages her lympho-lipedema with resilience and grace. While her diagnosis requires compression wear, she sees it as a source of empowerment, helping her feel strong and vital in her everyday life.
Carl, 63
As a professional driver, Carl manages his venous ulcer with determination, relying on Coolflex™ Standard Calf wraps to stay comfortable throughout his day. Supported by his family, he remains active and engaged, showing that health challenges don’t need to slow him down.
Marlies, 59
After undergoing surgery and living with lymphoedema for over a decade, Marlies seeks to feel heard and cared for. Working at a wellness center, she draws from her own experience to offer the same support and compassion to others on their healing journeys.
Inelastic wraps
A wrap consists of an understocking and an overlying, inelastic compression aid, which covers the affected extremity, e. g. with the aid of velcro straps, and creates a graduated compression.
Indications
Lymphoedema, lipeodema, oedema of venous origin, mixed forms and the wound management of ulcers.
Effect of compression
Inelastic compression wraps offer a high degree of comfort and adaptability, functioning similarly to short-stretch bandages. They are particularly effective for managing lymphatic and venous oedemas, as well as treating leg ulcers. One key advantage is that these wraps can be easily adjusted as limb circumferences change, allowing for quick modifications to ensure proper compression levels. This flexibility, combined with their breathable material, ensures a comfortable fit even during extended wear..
