Care instructions

• Follow the instructions for care on the packaging and/or the textile labels. Wash inside a laundry net. The stocking must be stored at room temperature and in a dry place away from light. Keep away from direct heat.

Indication

• Chronic venous diseases Improvement of venous symptoms; improvement of quality of life in chronic venous diseases; prevention and treatment of venous edemas as well as venous skin changes; eczema and pigmentation; lipodermatosclerosis and atrophie blanche; prevention and treatment of leg ulcers and pain reduction in venous leg ulcers; varicose veins; initial phase after varicose vein therapy; functional venous insufficiency; venous malformations Venous thrombotic diseases Superficial venous thrombosis; deep venous thrombosis of the leg; status post thrombosis; post-thrombotic syndrome; thrombosis prophylaxis in mobile patients Edemas Lymphedema; edema in pregnancy; occupational edema; drug-induced edema; post-traumatic and postoperative edema; postoperative reperfusion edema; idiopathic cyclic edema; lipedema up to Stage II; congestive states as a result of immobility Other Indications Obesity with functional venous insufficiency; inflammatory dermatosis of the legs; nausea, dizziness and congestive conditions in pregnancy; status post burns; scar treatment

Contra Indication

• Medical compression stockings must not be worn in the following cases:
• Advanced peripheral arterial occlusive disease (ABPI <0.6, ankle blood pressure <60 mmHg, toe blood pressure <30 mmHg, or TcPO2 <20 mmHg instep).
• Severe cardiac insufficiency (NYHA III–IV)
• Septic phlebitis
• Phlegmasia coerulea dolens
• Compression of an existing arterial bypass (epifascial)
• Realtive contraindications that require a particular balancing of benefits and risks:
• Allergy against compression material
• Inflammatory processes (compression products to reduce inflammation, pain or edema in leg erysipelas or cellulitis should only be used in combination with antibacterial treatment)
• PAOD with ABPI between 0.6 and 0.9 and/or ankle pressure between 60 and 90 mmHg
• Skin diseases with massive exudation
• Severe sensory disturbances of the extremity
• Advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g. in diabetes mellitus)
• Primary chronic polyarthritis
• Severe sensory disturbances of the extremity
• Advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g. in diabetes mellitus)
• Primary chronic polyarthritis
